Thanks, Dave, anything that starts with the Incredible String Band is guaranteed to be up my street!
I don’t say other people shouldn’t wear helmets, I just don’t do it in towns because I think it is a pain in the ass, and little polystyrene cycle helmets are only marginally likely to save me from harm. A better strategy is communication with other road users and I think a helmet can actually make that kind of communication harder.
