A special edition from the German capital city and well-known haven for cyclists. Riding with Berlin blogger Maisie Hitchcock, we discuss the changing face of Berlin, the legacy of the Cold War and the achingly hip Berlin music scene, all the while finding out what a great place this is to ride a bike.

About 22 minutes into the podcast there’s a really cool rap in German - which band is that??

It’s Kool Savas ‘Haus und Boot’. Think it came out in 2000.

Couldn’t find an email address for you but I know you play lots of bike music and thought you might like to hear “Kukiz i Piersi - Rowerek”.
Rower (pron. “rover”) is Polish for bicycle and this track is about a girl asking her father for a new bike (so says my Polish gf).

This brings back fond memories of 3 days spent in Berlin 2005 doing the gluvine trail and Xmas markts. A very civilised city. Keep up the programming and excellent commentary on cycling.
