    Jack,

I think that the Duke of York pub in Clerkenwell—top courier hang-out—shows Le Tour on a TV.

    Hiya Jack,
Civilised streets is very obviously a lovely idea. Listening to you raise your voices over the noise of the traffic, and particularly the motorbikes, gave the lie. This civilised crowd seem to think they can wish away the overwhelming power imbalance conferred by horsepower, a metal carapace, airbags, tinted windows etc. They’re equally panglossian about the goodwill of drivers. Without a matching commitment to reduce (halve) traffic volumes (like Paris) and enforce courteousness, we’re going to repeat the mistake of seeking an engineering solution to a behavioural problem.
