Richard Mitchelson and Milltag have designed a beautiful Bike Show jersey.
The jersey combines echoes of the past with a look that shouts ‘NOW’ in an eye-catching, witty yet fundamentally stylish creation. The burnished orange hue has been sported by some of cycling’s all time greats from Eddy Merckx in Molteni to the BiC teams of Jacques Anquetil and Luis Ocaña and today’s mountain men riding for Euskatel-Euskadi. It’s an indisputable fact: you’ll climb faster in orange.
As you pull away from the pack, other riders will be left admiring the mildly hypnotic flight of London pigeons on the back of the jersey. Three colour diagonal stripes catch the eye, and are a subtle nod to the Renault-Elf-Gitane jersey worn by Bernard Hinault, Greg LeMond and Laurent Fignon. Of course you can forget all the cycle sport heritage and just enjoy a beautiful jersey in the knowledge that this is a strictly limited production run just for Bike Show cognoscenti.
It’s going to be a very limited run and you need to order before 11th July. The jerseys will be manufactured in the quantities ordered. If you don’t order by 11th July, you may miss out forever.
£70 for a jersey? Well, yes. There are other jerseys available of course, but this is the only Bike Show jersey and is very small production run. Milltag jerseys are made in the EU (in Slovakia, to be precise) and are top quality. The jersey’s technical features are as follows:
a) Coolplus fabric – With a unique cross section and micro-fibre construction, Coolplus provides an unequaled feel. The micro-slits on the surface cause capillary action which rapidly absorbs sweat wicking it to the outer layer whilst simultaneously allowing air to permeate the fabric and release hot air keeping the skin fresh and cool. Wow.
b) Full-length zip so you can let it all hang out, if that’s your style.
c) Full silicon gummed bottom hem which stops the jersey riding up.
d) Zipped security pocket – Perfect for a small transistor radio or a bit of cash. With reflective taping for evening rides.
e) Angled outside pockets – For ease of access while you ride.
f) Low rear hem – Keeps the pockets in the correct position and keeps the flight of pigeons looking good.
g) Flat seams throughout, so no unpleasant chafing for sir or madam.
All jerseys are individually numbered on the label.
